点评:We would NOT choose to sail on this ferry again. We departed from Victoria with our family of 4. We were instructed to be in line at least 90 minutes early which was fine except you aren’t able to leave the parking area at the terminal and hadn’t brought meal food. So when the ferry was nearly 30 mins late departing it means we had been waiting 2 hours in the vehicle lineup area prior to sailing. We arrived at 220 for a 4pm sailing and didn’t leave until nearly 430. We saw a menu for the cafeteria food on board- burgers, hot dogs etc but quickly regretted buying the food. The chicken strips were inconsumable and even had a 2 inch bone in one- it was all soggy and barely warm. We threw them out and most of the cold wedge fries. We asked about a hamburger and they said they can microwave one for us- we declined. Clearly all the food is microwaved and not worth any money imo. My kids are usually fine with basic cafeteria food and they both wouldn’t touch it. A waste of money. After that we walked around to try to find a seat. Many, many seats were occupied by luggage, people’s feet, dogs, and people lying down taking up whole benches. Whether that falls on the disrespectful passengers or the ferry policies- you can be the judge. I would have expected an announcement asking people to move their belongings to make room for everyone- seniors were looking for seats, many families with children etc. Beyond this, the ride itself was incredibly rocky- sunny clear day when departing but the rocking ship was intense. People stumbling, I saw one person fall, people were puking and some looked extremely nervous as the horizon came in and out of view. I would have expected some sort of safety announcements while on board but there was nothing. I would not trust to take my family on this trip again.
And yes, as other feedbacks mentioned, they park the vehicles on the ferry VERY close together in the lanes (side to side) so that many people struggled to get out of their cars or had to climb over seats to get out. I can only imagine there are many door marks on cars as a result of this.
Overall, I stand by my two stars. It did get us from point A to B but not in a way I would pay any money to experience again.
