The local Olney vineyard is now in its third year and the wine is certainly improving with age.
The offering from Stonepits is also maturing along with its wine as I found out in my recent visit.
Free samples from a range of 5 wines.
The white is really a considerable improvement of and its earlier forbears but it is perhaps the red which is standing head &. shoulders above its siblings.
A smooth, fruity little red which suits my palate perfectly and drinking it, whilst overlooking the vines on a lovely summers day
Now with a food option which I believe may change through time,we had pizza from Embers and with an enlarged seating area, it's great to see a new business developing in these uncertain times.
Looking forward to finding out what 2025 will bring.
Visited this and sampled its first production after being set up in 2018.
Open days are advertised after production has been bottled and it is great to see a new setup, chat to the owner and enjoy some samples of the first ever production from this new attraction near to Olney.
2022 was a great start and as the vines mature, future years will see me visiting to find out how things are developing.
