点评:What an amazing experience. As a solo female Judy and the two boys made me feel incredibly safe, small touches like ringing my driver to ensure I wasnt stuck on my own etc. I went on the two hour trek of the Giza Pyramids, a wonderful set of canters through the dessert with a stunning background and sweet horse. I did request a helmet, that they forgot, but kindly apologised for.
I will say that this rescue recommends themselves that you do the Sakar pyramids with them - and I have to agree. These people clearly care about animals, but we arent at their stable, when in Giza so they simply rented horses. Some of them, like the horse that the guide was riding was incredibly thin and we saw a lot of animal abuse around us, including a dead horse. They clearly dont agree with maltreatment, and try their best to avoid endemic areas, but it is pervasive in the Giza area and could be upsetting. They refuse to canter the horses on the hard roads, which I respect, but others dont have the same issues.
In short, a wonderful experience with lovely people, but I would recommend going to their ranch and doing the other rides with them, especially around Sakar. Would go again in a heartbeat. Once in a lifetime experience.
