Hidden gem and worthy of a stop
New Britain Museum of American Art的点评
点评：I had heard great things about this museum and have wanted to visit it for a while. We went on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. There was plenty of parking. The museum wasn't crowded at all. The neighborhood was safe. The street that the museum is on is lined with beautiful Victorian houses.
The art was beautiful and nicely displayed. We spent about two hours here, including the very cute gift shop. The museum was very clean and had a good flow.
I was impressed with the items in the gift shop. When I googled one of the brands in the shop (Seltzer), the prices in the museum gift shop were less expensive than from the manufacturer itself. Admission to the museum was free for us with NARM membership, but the NARM membership didn't give a discount in the museum shop.
The bathrooms were very nice and clean. There was a cafe but it wasn't open. It wasn't clear if it's permanently closed or was just closed on that day.
This museum is a hidden gem. It's definitely worth a stop.
