Snowmobile rentals about an hour from SLC

点评：Snowmobiles were new, worked great, hand warmers, and with appropriate gear, ski goggles, boots, balaclava, stayed warm enough. However, they did not tell us before booking that the trails were not groomed, it’s all public national forest trails and they have no responsibility over the grooming, but they should inform you of this before renting. So if you rent, and trails are not groomed, go guided only so they can hopefully get you off all the bump bump bumping the entire way. We do self guided on almost all of our other rentals such as side by sides, wave runners, mountain e-bikes, and never have had a problem until our rental here. We got stuck several times. For sure bring a shovel, 2-3 strong adults, and watch the instruction videos of how to push snow under the machine to get unstuck. Not sure if Utah has grooming reports of the National forest trails, but if they do check it and make your route before you go. And an extra cell battery as you have coverage most of the time and are expected to use your own device for trail mapping. Also bring a backpack of drinks, sandwiches, etc that clips onto the sled-or tie downs. Maybe a tie down too to pull other sleds out to get unstuck. Although we did sled to the marina to a cute diner for hot cocoa-that trail was in much better condition. Our 18 year old son loved it, and 12 year old daughter will never ride again. When we finished there was a mom in the trailer wither her 9 year old that couldn’t take all the bumps either. Check in is Heber city but sledding checkin is another 20 min or so away.
