点评:One snowy monday we stopped off here for a couple of hours. This used to be the mnain Tokyo fish market, but a few years ago, the real commercial market moved to a nearby new large complex ( which you can visit but not really see much). What is left is the so called outer market, some stalls in the remains of the old market and 4 blocks or so of small shops and restaurants selling seafood.
Its a bit touristy now, but there is the chance to try an amazing range of seafood and also Wagyu beef. We loved the oysters in the main market building: huge, so fresh, straight out of the shell. Also in the same area, amazing Tuns on rice: low medium or high fat tuna, again stunningly fresh and cheap: Y500 for 3 large mouth size pieces each on a rice ball.
Outside in the small streets, we tried fresh scallops, Tamagoyake (japanese omelette), crab, eel, and Nori sea urchin roe. All fresh, all delicious.
Definitely worth a couple of hours if you are in central Tokyo.
