点评:I'm not sure what we were expecting when we got off the Amtrak but I certainly wasn't expecting that many vagrants and homeless people walking around yelling screaming and acting like they needed to be in a mental health facility. I told my daughter to not make eye contact and just try to listen for the announcements of the Amtrak departure/arrival times. I've lived all over the world and this train station by far was the worst that I've ever visited. If New Jersey Transit Police had not been present the homeless population would completely take over the facility. I was thankful that the New Jersey Transit police officers were standing next to the Amtrak passenger seating because there was a huge brawl right outside the Dunkin' Donuts. There was also a male walking around with a stick hitting objects with force trying to intimidate people. There were only two police officers in the Amtrak waiting area and I think that that building needs to have a lot more law enforcement available. While the building is beautiful it was ruined by the homeless population yelling obscenities, fighting and threatening customers traveling through Newark. I will avoid this train station in the future.
