Lovely place, staff are hit and miss which left us slightly disappointed

点评：Visited with my son. I found the site to be much smaller than I expected but it's very interesting. As it was quite late in the year, much of it was unstaffed. However, there were plenty of staff still about but most seemed more interested in chatting amongst theirselves rather than engage with visitors. We tried to talk to some but they couldn't be bothered to engage. The Jarl however was fabulous, he had an extensive talk with him and he didn't mind at all to answer any questions.
We had also tried to book a blacksmith session in advance but that was not responded to either after the initial email.
Conclusion is that it is a lovely place but interaction seems potluck, the non native staff were actually friendlier.
Adding to say we visited in October 2023 but Tripadvisor would not let me select the date .
