Spitfire ML407 birthday flight - 'I have control'

点评：The Ultimate War Birds team, from start to flight, were the most friendly, professional, knowledgeable, passionate group of people I and my family have had the pleasure to meet.
Amanda, Steve and my pilot on the day Ed Yard were fantastic. A huge thank you from us all.
So, if you are ever wondering what it is like to be up close to such a beautiful aircraft, to get inside, take off, take control, play with clouds, barrel roll and loop, to then ‘beat up’ the airfield, to land and then just be there.
Words simply cannot convey the emotion and experience. All I could muster was WOW.
The Grace Spitfire ML407 was beyond my wildest expectations. And as a child who grew up on RAF bases, loving all forms of aviation, and now as a pilot, my expectations were very high.
Of all the autobiographies and anecdotes written or spoken by those brave souls during WW2, that say what the Spitfire is like to fly, they are all spot on. You do feel part of it. That wing in flight is something to behold.
And if the opportunity arises again, absolutely I will grab it with both hands.
This ethereal creature has stollen my heart.
And to those who know me, I will continue to bore you senseless about my time with a Spitfire.
