点评:Not the easiest tower steps that we have done but certainly one of the most spectacular and a little daunting in places. You can see why it is closed if conditions are too poor. We would recommend an early visit to Our Saviour's if you can as it gets busy later on, plus the Kirke itself if you want to see it closes earlier than the tower. We used our Copenhagen Card here as well and we heartily recommend it. On the Sunday we visited we managed to get access right away but by the time we came down people we getting time slots unless they had already pre-booked. I don't think you can pre-book if using the card if i remember correctly.
The entry counter is a floor up in the tower entrance and when your slot is ready to start where you start from. The tower is quite tight in places and you need reasonable mobility to manage a safe and enjoyable trip up. After several different levels you reach the very narrow steep ladder/stairs to the outside, it is here that they could maybe do with a traffic light system that we have seen elsewhere in areas like this. There is now a viewing balcony most of the way round, but it is a bit of a squeeze to pass anyone. As it was a bit quiet when we visited climbing up the outside was quite easy and we had plenty of space on the stairs. As the steps and metalled you can see why it is shut on the poorer days and why numbers are limited at any one time. The spire gets tighter and tighter as you go up, alos a little movement in the stairs themselves and this can emphasize the height. One of our group had to leave and go back down before they reached the top as they really didn't like it. Beware that there is no balcony at the top you just reach the top of the spire and can go no further! carefully take some photos and then ease you way back down. The journey back down has great views as well but watch your feet. A good experience and a bit of a challenge for me as i don't really like heights too much, but i was so glad i did this great views and such a buzz after i was back down. As said not for folk with poor mobility or a fear of heights, but otherwise don't miss doing this if in Copenhagen.
