点评:Awful run down hotel. I booked the Spa-cation for my mums 65th and was so so disappointed in the whole experience. Firstly the room was in pretty poor shape, from the mould around the bath, the dusty kettle/cups, the wood rotted windows (which almost broke off when I tried to close it) to the torn bed linen. The rest of the hotel was also very tired and shabby. I appreciate the hotel is going through refurbishment but maybe it shouldn’t be used for guests until then. We checked out at 11 and were informed that a £50 deduction had been taken off our bill by way of an apology which I gladly accepted and appreciated the gesture. We arrived at the Spa for our 12pm appointment for the Spa portion of our stay and were informed that we hadn’t actually been booked in and would have to come back another time. I finally got round to phoning last week to rebook in for our return appointment, I was asked if I had an email of voucher to confirm that I was due a return visit. I found this ironic as I have phoned and emailed the hotel about my experience and had been told someone would get back to me, that was almost 5 months ago and I’m stay waiting on someone returning my call or email!! Shocking customer service. The spa wasn’t the best, we were taken to the relaxation room and just kind of dumped there, weren’t shown where the changing facilities where or the amenities.
The only saving grace was the staff, they were all really lovely but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to redeem our overall experience.
