Come for the sandwiches, not the mill.

点评：I want to leave an amazing review because the family that runs this is lovely! They post beautiful things on Facebook about their family, their tourists, their industry and supporting local. Also, let me start by saying the Boudin and Cuban sandwiches were DELICIOUS! and worth every penny.
However, as far as other things go--- not worth driving 2.5 hours for.
In the store, there are samples of coffee, rice and seasonings. The coffee isn't theirs and it's only delivered once a month. So the flavor they had samples of weren't available in ground, only Kcups. Their rice was indeed tasty, but it's super duper expensive! They have a special sauce they sell that was really good! But! What we did not realize until we checked out is that it's almost $20 a bottle! Again, not worth it!
The tour is cheap for people to partake in. It starts with a 20 minute movie- that is dated and didn't talk about the cultivation of rice at all. Then a kind woman takes you over to the mill for about 15 minutes. She is softspoken though, so it was hard to hear what she had to say. She also talked more about local things in town than the rice company. Again, I feel bad leaving this kind of review... but we drove a very far distant to see the mill and it just wasn't worth it.
They say that they run the mill about once a week, but the men in my group didn't believe that it is still up and running. Cobwebs are everywhere, it's rather clean (not what you would expect from a mill that is producing) and the scale area had water bottles and trash over the belting that supposingly the rice falls through to get inside.
IF in the area, for the LOW price- it's a nice stop. However, I wouldn't go out of your way to come.
