Worth the effort required to get a visitor’s pass

点评：VERY IMPORTANT: If you do not request, in writing, a visitor’s pass at least 30 days prior to your visit you will be denied. My first request was denied as I only requested my visitor’s pass two weeks in advance. My second request was 32 days prior to my requested visit date and was approved. It is recommended to call a couple of days prior to visit to confirm. Phone number is on visitor’s request form. The pass is only good for the one date requested.
• You must enter through the North Gate on your approved date.
• Admission is free
• Ample free parking
• Museum is relatively small and you are free to move at your own pace.
• The really interesting part of the museum is outside. There are several planes you can view as well as view takeoffs and landings (if your timing is good) on the active AFB runway.
I spent 2 hours viewing the museum building and the planes outside. It was very interesting for a first time visitor. It is worth the effort required to obtain a visitor’s pass.
