Waste of time going with a dog!

点评：Looks wonderful so while we are in the area for a short break we thought we’ll go and have lunch, a wander round the walled garden and in the shop. Walled garden advertised as dog friendly, the terrace cafe it says the outside seating is dog friendly, so we thought great.
So, we get there get the dogs out the car and wander down. One of us stayed outside the shop with the two dogs and one of us went in to ask in the shop about where the outside seating is.
Told the outdoor seating is only in the summer and we would not be able to have lunch with the dogs. This is not advertised anywhere on the website, it says terrace cafe is open all year, nothing mentioned about seating outside only being available in the summer. Absolutely no problem not taking them inside the cafe, but to be told the outdoor seating is only in the summer and we can’t sit anywhere else to have lunch is frustrating, especially given it is not stated anywhere on the website. If we had known this beforehand we would not have bothered to go.
Apparently, It was not possible to even get a takeaway sandwich or anything from the cafe to sit on a bench in the garden.
I can understand the summer only thing in a way, but it’s beginning of October and it’s 13C, so not like it’s middle of November 2C and damp. And the October holidays haven’t even started yet, let alone finished.
It would be great if you could put on your website that it is not possible for people with dogs to have lunch at all past October 1st. So not to waste time going with your dog, if you want any food or drink.
