点评：This is a review I wish I had read before I went, but this is real! I bought tickets for my sister's birthday for Allen Smith's birthday and tour. It was raining and cold and the tour went on as expected, in the rain. We were told to be prepared for the tour in any condition. The tour would be a two-hour tour from 10-12, then an hour lunch at 12 then another hour after lunch to see the poultry farm from 1 -2pm. The farm was very large, house was nice well thought out for a tour business. Not a lot in bloom in March. Nice to see where he did film his show. There was a large tent where we met and waited for the tour to begin with drinks and cookies. The tent was not heated, so there was no relief from the cold except when we toured the house. There was a lot of walking. We walked for 3 hours and they wanted to do another hour straight on to the poultry farm but we could not make another step so we went to sit in the tent. The benches were wet so we had to sit on a cold wet seat while we waited. We had been up and driving since 6am, 3 hours away! So we were very hungry and tired. The 12-o'clock lunch that was promised had come and gone . We were still waiting until 1:30pm before we finally got seated at the tables, and were given tea, a salad with a few chicken pieces and pie. It had to be a cold lunch because the tent was freezing, there was a cold breeze and our fingers could barely hold a fork! The food was from Mr Smiths cookbook. The salad was ok. The dessert was pecan pie which was the star of the day! There were also a few 'bites' of other deserts but I won't go there because of the poor choices. Mr Smith came in around 1:45 telling us he had been delayed because of bad weather. I am assuming that is why we had to wait 1 1/2 hours to eat. He said 'hi, let me eat, and then we can talk!' but we had to leave because we had appointments and had a 3-hour drive back. Overall we enjoyed the visit.
