点评:I’m the type of person that goes out of my way to explore ghost towns and abandoned buildings. The Renaissance Village is so much better than that. I don’t have to watch out for broken glass, nails, or rattlesnakes when exploring these old houses. These cottages not only show life as it used to be, but there’s so much inside to look at. There are old, stoves, old beds, old decorations , old newspapers – you name it. I was fascinated at so many things. I would just stand in the room and try to imagine what it really like to live back then. The electricity is minimal, and television nonexistent. They don’t even have washers and dryers.
They need to rename this place sometime like ghost town village or something. My idea of Renaissance is medieval or something similar- which this place is NOT. Also, I’ve been to Ely four times and this place was never open until this time.
The admission was only $5 and it was well worth it to explore on your own
