点评：This is what we need more of! The site of an old glass factory that went into ruins. It was repurposed, creatively redesigned and showcased the history of what used to be there and current use for the outdoors and a total family experience.
Follow the paths and enjoy all the history of the Glass works that was once there. Past remnants of the factory are scattered artistically throughout the park. Landscaping is excellent. Trails are easy to navigate. At the pond they were having a fishing day for youngsters With fishing poles available giving some youngsters an experience they may not have had previously.. The grounds are huge. Walking, hiking, biking, you name it! The "piece de resistiance" was the 220 step tower you can climb to achieve a view of the park. There are porta potty bathrooms that are accessible. There are also multiple entrances to the park with beautifully designed metal arches for signage.
The town of Mount Vernon is nearby which is quaint, and known for their dog fountain - very cute. Lots of stores, coffee shops and restaurants.
