点评：We had booked a trip on the Colebrookedale RR early in November for their "Snowflake Special" on the evening of December 28th. It was a miserable night. Steady light rain and fog. You have to wait to get on the train, but there are very few places to escape the rain. We were booked on the "Deluxe Coach." A beautiful early 20th century rail car that was done beautifully. The seats were comfortable and you could turn them so you will always be riding ahead both ways. But this car had a lot of children in it. I have nothing against children. I have four (all adults now.) And it seemed a lot more noisy in our car then any of the others. They have a narrative about the railway and the surrounding area, but we could not hear it at all. We left at
4 pm, so you get to see some of the town and the land along the route. By the time you get to the end of the trip it's pitch black and you can't see a thing. That brings up another issue to me. It's a tough sell to call it a "Scenic" railway ride. There is nothing to see but trees, a few buildings, homes and road and bridge. Other than that, nothing scenic. As I said, my wife and I thought the train itself and the cars were absolutely beautiful and the service friendly. But we'll be going to other railroads trips in PA in the future.
