A great experience from Marrakech to Merzouga with Farka Tours!

点评：We hired Farka Tours for a trip from Marrakech to the Sahara desert in Merzouga. We took it slowly because my husband and I both find curvy roads challenging.
We spent three days in Marrakesh, one night at Ouzoud Falls, then two nights each in Ait Bouguemez, Boumaine Dades, Todra Gorge, and Merzouga.
Ali arranged regional guides, hotels and lunches. We liked them all except would suggest a change from Dar Ayour to another hotel in Todra Gorge.
We found the tents in the desert camp too hot and were unable to sleep. Everything else was excellent in the desert camp however we would not recommend it for that reason.
We loved the early morning camel ride so if you can arrange that, go for it!
Ali found interesting experiences for us such as a Berber market, a Gnaoua music center, a nomadic family, a community garden, a cooking class with his sister, a meal in his family’s restaurant,
etc. He was resourceful in finding an excellent shoemaker to repair my sandals (yay!), in locating clean bathrooms, and in purchasing medication when needed.
Ali was calm and patient the whole trip through, he played lively music in the car, and is an excellent driver. He speaks English, Spanish, French, Berber, and Arabic.
