点评：Beware when walking around the parliament building. I went walking through the parking lot and up the stairs of the building for a vantage point to take photos of the gardens— which have been off limits. I never did enter the gardens, but when I left, I was stopped by this rude security officer who told me not to walk around the parliament building. I should only stay on the outside street that enters the building. I thought it was some kind of joke. Namibia touts itself as being a democracy, yet they don’t want people to visit their parliament building. As an African-American, I though it was embarrassing and insulting for them to exclude me. I had no problem walking around the parliament grounds and taking photos in European capitals. This only shows that Namibian elites and politicians are disconnected to their people. Those grounds should be open to everyone
